fixatives and subsequent cell storage

Hi Flowers

I know that this isnt a flow question, but I am sure someone will know the answer.
We have cells growing in a 24 well plates, at the end of the experiment we would
like to fix the cells in the wells and store them for fluorescent staining later for
cell surface markers. (we cant stain them all at the same time there are too many
samples). As we want to examine the changes in cell morphology we cannot detach them
and run them through flow either.

How do we fix the cells in the plates and where do we store them, cold? frozen? etc
until we go to do the staining?

Thank you
