Service Contracts

Last month, there was a message that said that ABS (Alternative Biomedical
Services, Inc) located in Hialeah, FL, could do service on Flow Cytometers.
I have since found out that they cover Beckman-Coulter instruments, and that
Tritech, Inc, located in Annapolis, MD, covers Becton-Dickinson flow
cytometers (though it doesn't look like they cover all of them.). I am
interested in finding out what people's experiences are with these 2
companies for service, as we have a FACScan, an XL and an Elite, we will
likely be willing to consider both companies when our contracts are up. Any
feedback would be helpful. It does probably mean that Sole-Source
justifications are no longer appropriate in the USA for these cytometers.

Anyway, thank you in advance for your information, this e-mail list has
always provided a wealth of information related to Flow Cytometry and so
much of this information has been useful for various levels of operations.
