Hi Kerstin, The Alexa dyes are manufactured and sold by Molecular Probes (they have an excellent wesite at: http://www.probes.com). As far as I am aware they do make several variants that are excited around the mid-500 range - Alexas 532, 546 and 568, and several of these come in protein-labelling kit form. According to our MAb production Lab, these kits work very well indeed. I am not aware that there is an Alexa dye excited at 633 (I may be wrong and am prepared to be corrected!), although there is a BODIPY dye in that range. Again there are conjugation kits available.
