APC's are very well rated and I have one on the BD MAC. If you need more than 15 amps (20 amp plug) you need to get something that has a higher rating (the recommended amps for the FACScan is 20 amps so you need a 30 amp plug and a hospital grade power conditioner; most people run their cytometers off 20 amps and a 15 amp line conditioner with no problem). Power Var makes line conditioners to order that have 20 amp ratings.
