The following position is available: Director, National Flow Cytometry Resource The Director of the NFCR will be responsible for directing research, collaborations, service projects, training activities, and dissemination. The NFCR's focus is on the development of new technical capabilities in flow cytometry, as well as developing new applications of the technology. The position involves planning for the next renewal submission, monitoring activities, budget supervision, personnel management, and acting as the primary spokesperson for the NFCR. Required Skills: Accomplishments in flow cytometry, biophysics, molecular biology, or cell biology with an understanding of the applications of flow cytometry. Accomplishment in one of the research fields listed above as demonstrated by publications, reports, awards, and recommendations. Ability to conduct exciting and innovative research. Leadership as evidenced by the ability to from, organize, and administer scientific projects and/or teams. Proven management skills. Ability to effectively present research programs. Desired Skills: Demonstrated expertise in the development of applications of flow cytometry Education: A Ph. D., M. D., or equivalent experience in flow cytometry, biophysics, molecular biology, cell biology, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
