RE: TruCount substitute

I tried using the Beckman Flow-Count fluorospheres as a substitute for Tru Count tubes
a couple of years ago. I was disappointed to learn that I had to use the Coulter Lysis
reagents (or rather, I couldn't use the BD FACSLyse) if I were to use their beads.
Was I mislead about this or am I missing something?

Thanks!

Beckman Coulter sells Flow-Count Fluorospheres which can be used for
absolute counting. They are sold in 20mL vials and you have to pipet them
into your tube yourself, proper pipetting technique is critical for accurate
results.
