Staff Scientist - Flow Cytometry Intramural Research Program National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases National Institutes of Health The National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) is seeking exceptional candidates to fill the position of Staff Scientist - Flow Cytometry in the Autoimmunity Branch of the Intramural Research Program (IRP) of NIAMS, NIH. The successful candidate will manage a newly established flow cytometry laboratory that has a 3 laser FACSVantage with turbo sort for sorting and a FACcaliber for analysis and all supporting equipment, computers and software. Plans to add a Cytomation MoFlo high-speed sorter are being developed. The individual will be responsible for managing and organizing the laboratory and the design of specific projects. Candidates must have either an M.D. or Ph.D. degree and professional knowledge and experience in contemporary flow cytometry sufficient to independently organize and conduct clinical and basic immunologic research using this technology.
