L-selectin on rat PMNs

Hello -

Does anyone know if rat neutrophils release L-selectin when stimulated with fMLP?
We've treated LongEvans rat blood with fMLP (uM) and we readily detect Mac1 upregulation and neutrophil degranulation, but L-selectin (detected with HRL-1 antibody) does not get shed.
Under similar conditions, human neutrophils respond enthusiastically and release their L-selectin.
We can get shedding with A23187 etc, but not fMLP. Any ideas?

Thank you,
