Hi Gary...

For some reason, we have had a history of Symantec programs being
incompatible with CellQuest. We tried using Norton AntiVirus several years
ago on our older Quadra 650s and on a Power PC running MacOS 7.6.1 and
CellQuest 3.1 and wound up with numerous system errors and lockups when we
tried to run CellQuest - there were no problems when Cellquest was not
present. We found that Norton DiskLock (a security program) was not
compatible with CellQuest, and we currently can't use the background
functions in Norton Utilities on our PowerPCs (MacOS 8.X, CellQuest
ver.3.2) without numerous system errors occuring while we are running
CellQuest. Again, the Norton programs run fine when CellQuest is not
present or actively running.

Our only solution has been to use McAfee virus software, which seems to
have no problems.

Bill
