Cytometry Technologist
(2nd Shift)

Laboratory Corporation of America's Center for Molecular Biology and Pathology (CMBP)
specializes in esoteric testing services, cutting-edge test research and development,
education, and training.  As a reference lab, the Flow Cytometry laboratory offers
the opportunity to become proficient at identifying even rare leukemias and lymphomas
using four-color immunophenotyping.  We are currently seeking a technologist for the
Cytometry Laboratory at our Research Triangle Park, NC facility.


Candidate must be dependable, able to work independently, and have good communication
and organizational skills.  Candidate will perform CBC analysis; prepare, stain, and
review blood and bone marrow smears; set up immunophenotyping profiles; run and analyze
profiles on Becton Dickinson FACSCalibur cytometers; perform QC/QA and proficiency
survey testing as needed; and perform result entry.

Degree in Medical Technology preferred, BA or BS in Biology with clinical laboratory
training accepted.  Experience in Hematology and/or leukemia/lymphoma immunophenotyping
strongly preferred.
Hours 1:00 to 9:30pm, Tuesday through Saturday.
