Please use plain text attachments

Fellow flow-ers,

Frequently, postings to the cytometry list are sent as attachments in
various word-processor formats (usually Word). Because some of us still
use rather rudimentary email access systems (e.g. Pine), it is very
inconvenient to open these attachments if they are not in plain text
(ASCII) format. For messages to be available to the greatest number of
people, it would be helpful if any attached files were converted to
plain text before attaching. Fortunately, most word-processors
offer this option as an easy "File type" selection under the "Save as"
dialog box.
