I have noticed a couple of messages where writers criticize higher charges for sorting compared to acquisition alone. While I don't do sorting myself, I imagine that the higher cost of a sorter compared to an analytical instrument would justify a price difference. And it would follow that if one is using a sorter to do acquisition alone, the charge for that service might be too high if it's based on the cost of buying/operating a sorter.
