Tri-color conjugate difference

Dear Group,
I am using Caltag's anti-CD4 (murine) antibodies. When I use the PE
conjugated AB, I get 2 populations, nice separation. When I use the
identical AB conjugated to TC, however, on the same sample, I get 3
populations with a new, lower intensity population. This lower intensity
population is not eliminated by blocking with anti-CD16/32 ABs. It appears
to be a separate population since the total # of + cells increases by the
amount of the new population.
Has anyone seen this with TC? Or is this a Caltag quality control issue?
Many thanks for comments.
