Dear colleagues This question does not relate directly to flow cytometry - but there is probably someone out there who has the information. A colleague is interested in isolating mononuclear cells, including stem cells, from pig bone marrow. Using standard ficoll-hypaque intended for human mononuclear cell isolation his yields are poor compared to human bone marrow. What is the optimal f-h density for isolation of pig mononuclears? Will pig stem cells respond to any of the human recombinant cytokines (e.g. for colony formation)? Robin Barclay SNBTS Edinburgh
