opportunity for a BS/MS level flow cytometrist at our state-of-the-art
analytical cell biology laboratory in King of Prussia (suburban Phialdelphia),
PA.

Job Description:
Routine operation and maintenance of a FACSVantage-SE cell sorter; Oversee use
of bench-top instruments (2 FACSCaliburs and 1 Cytoron) by individual
researchers; Sterile cell sorting;Develop new flow cytometry (FCM) assays and
train individual researchers with design and analyses of FCM data; Keep abreast
of cytometry literature and communicate new applications to peers; Instrument
maintenance, trouble shooting, and equipment upgrades; Familiarity with
conducting assays in a GLP environment; Presentation of research findings at
team meetings; Maintenance, Storage, and Analysis of FCM data; Demonstrated
ability to work as an effective team member and the ability to interact with
individuals from varied backgrounds.

Candidate Specifications:
BS/MS degree in Immunology/Cell Biology/Molecular Biology or equivalent with 3-5
years of flow cytometry and sorting experience; Good practical and theoretical
understanding of flow cytometry;Sorting experience, preferably of small
subpopulations of viable cells;Good communication and interpersonal skills;
Independent and Organized individual with Ability to co-ordinate a multi-user
facility;Strong computer skills;Demonstrated capability to develop new
techniques using flow cytometry; good understanding of confocal microscopy.
