I have tried to post this to the list earlier today; I don't know if it was successful, so if there's two postings from me on this subject, I apologize in advance. I am interested in characterizing a population of cells which have recently been transfected with a Bcl-2 construct. I want to know what percentage of cells will stain Bcl-2 positive. My question is: Is there a way to do this without killing the cells? I know that I can label my cells and sort the positives, and I do not plan to fix sterily sorted cells. (I know this must sound mundane but I'm still a graduate student, learning things!) I've been following some of the recent discussion on the Bcl-2 ab; it has been helpful. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! Mary Kushman East Carolina University
