Hi Candace,
you can use my program, FCSPress, to do this.  Moving the cursor along a
histogram gives you a live display of channel number and cell count in the
bottom left of the window.

Alternatively you can export histogram data to a file for viewing in excel
etc. using FCSPress, FCS Assistant, FlowJo and other programs.

You can download a copy of FCSPress and FCS Assistant from
http://www.FCSPress.com .  If you've already tried a copy and your
demonstration period has expired you can apply for an extension using the
form at that site.
