Dear Dr. Stange,

Another way would be to connect your HP to your AppleTalk network via "PC
MacLan" software from Miramar Systems:

http://www.miramar.com/products/index.html

This tool is available for Windows 95, 98, Me, NT, 2000 & XP. The
installation is easy, even for network unexperienced persons. MacLan runs
stable. After installation on your HP you can directly establish a
connection from your AppleTalk network to your HP by using the Chooser and
selecting AppleShare. The HP will then appear in the selection area of the
Chooser window on the right side. The procedure is quite similar to
connecting from one Mac to another Mac in your network. After successful
connection establishment you will be able to have access from a Mac in your
network to your HP harddisk in order to retrieve your data.

If you need further assitance please do not hesitate to contact me directly.

Best regards

Roland Göhde
