Dear Flowers,

We are currently studying cell cycling in primary murine macrophages by flow
cytometry. We have successfully synchronized the cells by serum starvation.
Unfortunately, attempts to get these cells to re-enter the cell cycle have been
unsuccessful. There have been examples in the literature of cells being induced
to re-enter the cell cycle, but these studies were performed with cell lines,
not primary cultures. We would be grateful to hear from anyone who has had any
luck doing this with primary macrophage cultures. Please send responses to Dr.
Maya Kozlowski at Maya_Kozlowski@hc-sc.gc.ca as I will be away from the lab for
a while.

Thank-you,

Gina
