I work in a clinical lab that does about 700 leukemia/lymphomas a year/ There are 2 full time techs that try to work Monday-Friday. We would like to find a preservative to put in the blood, bone marrows and tissues that would allow us to cut back on the call-in times, from the out-lying labs. We have looked into Cyto-Chex. Is anything else available? Do any of you have suggestions that have worked well with you, and how do you handle it? Do you keep the preservative in you lab or send it to the other labs to add there? Until we are able to get more help, we hope to hang onto the sanity we have left, or not be called in, 2 times a weekend. Thanks for your help.
