Tardy though this mail is (I've only just got my mail back on line) I would like, on behalf of all of us here, to express our deep sympathy with the people of New York and the USA. Some of the messages sent are very moving, not least the one from Iran, but especially Rafael's account. "Great special effects" was an unbidden thought of almost all I've spoken to, followed a fraction of a second later by the horrible stomach-twisting realisation that this was not a movie.
