Dear Group,
 Hi,
I had a basic question regarding the measurement of
FSC adn SSC. I want to know the relation between FSC
and SSC with respect to the wavelength of the laser
used. I have soem idea that if a particle size is
1/4th that of the wavelength then it can be detected
by scattering properties but what is the exact formula
or the nitty gritty details regardign scattering . Can
someone please point me in the direction of a good
reference (one that not only describes what is
happening but also demonstrates the relation between
the particle composition adn scatter and the laser
wavelenth and scatter). Have tried fishing with the
net but to no avail (always land up with plasma
physics and particle accelerators).
Also can the initial threshold be set on ssc or other
parameters? (theoritically yes but practically ??? on
a vantage ???)and is there a mathematical relation
between FSC and SSC for a homogenous (solid or hollow)
particle (not a cell).
Thanks in advance for all the responses.
 Regards,
 Rana
