Re: how much vibration is a problem

I only want to comment shortly about problems with vibrations.
Years ago, I was responsible for a Coulter Elite ESP sorter and
had often problems with the sorts. We identified two compressors,
standing wall to wall in the next room as the major cause of
the problem. Whereas neither compressor alone and its vibration
was a problem, both together produced a new vibration at a
very low frequency of about 1 to 2 Hz. This low-frequency vibration
was indeed our problem.
Therefore, one cannot conclude that vibrations cause or don't
cause a problem, it depends on the frequency!

Hope this helps

Andreas
