I have observed similar multiple populations on FS vs. SSC on a Coulter
Elite in mouse lymph node cells so it is probably not your instrument. The
conservative course is to include both groups in your 'lymphocyte' gate. In
the interests of not losing anything, I tend to gate out the debris and
collect everything else. In LN cells, I have seen some markers segregate
with a scatter population so excluding one or the other might not be the
optimal course. This is just another aspect of mice not being small people.
