For those of you coming in from out of town, here are the directions
to the March 9th NY/NJ Users Group meeting. See you there!

Directions to Weill-Cornell Medical College Uris Auditorium

   Car:
Coming from FDR North, take the 61st Street exit and make a right turn
onto York Avenue. Coming from FDR South, take the 72nd Street exit and
make a left turn onto York Avenue. The College entrance is located at
1300 York Avenue at 69th Street. The Hospital entrance is located at 525
68th Street, directly east of York Avenue. Parking fees are prohibitive
in this area and also hard to find. Do not use this option if you want
   to have a good day.

   Train/ bus ** best method:

   http://www.mta.nyc.ny.us/nyct/maps/busman.pdf

From the Port Authority Bus Terminal which is on the west side of town
you need to find your way into the subway at 42 street and 8th Ave area
(which is about where the bus station is located). Take the C train
Uptown to 59 street Columbus Circle. Exit the platform at the extreme
southern end (opposite of the direction the train was going). Take the
stairway up and walk through the turnstiles. Continue to walk straight
ahead of you toward the far end of the broad corridor so that you can
take the last set on the that are labeled "southeast corner of 57 and
8th Ave." Take the M31 York Ave bus to E69th street. This bus will let
you off (only if you ring the bell!) right in front of the entrance to
where you need to be; 1300 York Ave at E. 69th St. The Uris Auditorium
is immediately on the left side as you enter the building before the
   guard station.

   Alternative:

   http://www.mta.nyc.ny.us/nyct/maps/busman.pdf

From the Port Authority Bus Terminal which is on the west side of town
you need to find your way into the subway at 42 street and 8th Ave area
(which is about where the bus station is located) take the S train to
the east side or Grand Central Train Station and take the Uptown number
6 train to the 68th street Hunter College station. When you exit the
station you will be on E 68 street. You can either walk 4 blocks east to
York avenue or you can take the number 66 bus to the last stop which is
E68 and York. Walk north on York ½ block on the east side of the street
at E 69th you will see 1300. Enter and Uris Auditorium is on the left
   side before the guard station.

From Penn Station 34 street / LIRR / NJ trains:
   http://www.mta.nyc.ny.us/nyct/maps/submap.htm
   http://www.mta.nyc.ny.us/nyct/maps/busman.pdf

Take the C train Uptown to 42 street Port Authority station (one
station) or to 59th street Columbus Station and follow the appropriate
   instructions above.

The train and the bus both cost $1.50 but remember that if you want to
take the bus you must have exact change (no bills), or a regular token.
I suggest you find what is called a "Fun Pass" for $5 dollars. You can
use this card to get around on the buses and trains for one full day
unlimited access. These are only found in the little news stands and
shops in the subway areas and are not sold at the token booths.

Please remember that you will be in the "Big City" and that you may
encounter some peculiar people on the trains, in particular. Never allow
yourself to become engaged in conversation with these people. Walk
briskly and Ignore all such attempts; never make eye contact! If you are
still afraid, you can always take a cab (~$15) for a different kind of
   experience.
