Determining DNA index

Hi

I'm setting up a protocol to determine the telomere length of various cell
lines but I need to be able to determine the ploidy/DNA index of the cells
I'm looking at. I've got a copy of Vindelov's paper which suggests using
chicken or trout erythrocytes but don't know of a commercial source, does
anyone know where I can get them? Is there a commercial kit available for
determining DNA index? Any help/advice welcome

Thanks
