I use SuperLock. It is downloadable from their web site and requires a small
shareware fee. Much cheaper than Fileguard and better than MacLogin. It logs
all users and can also log application use. Access to folders or programs
can be user defined as can time of access. It does not interfere with
Appletalk or ethernet connections. You can find it at
http://www.trivectus.com/

Also there are no restrictions regarding overseas (i.e.. Non-USA) purchase
of this application as there are with Fileguard.

We use Fileguard Remote others use MACLogin. You have to pay for Fileguard
but you
don't have to re-boot the computer between users. There is a way to export
the log into
excel for billing purposes but its not obvious. I use it on 4 benchtop
machines with
no problems. I have people log in under grant names which makes the
bean-counters happy.
