Colleagues: This weekend or next week we will join our 2000th member to the cytometry discussion forum. As of yesterday (Friday 6 Oct) we reached 1999 members. It has taken over 10 years to reach this goal - Steve Kelley in my lab has done an outstanding effort over many years. I promised to host the 2000 person to dinner at Montpellier if we reached the goal before ISAC, but we did not, so I will come up with a suitable "prize". (My lab thinks going out to dinner with me is definitley NOT a prize!) If any companies are interested in contributing to a prize, please contact me privately. As a start, I will pay for one years membership to ISAC if the person is not a member and I will give them a free copy of the new 2 volume set in Methods in Cell Biology : Cytometry (Darzynkiewicz, Robinson & Crissman) to be published in November. So, the question is who is the 2000th member going to be?
