                        Reagent Sales Specialist

        Description

        This position reports to the Regional Business Manager.  Responsible for
        the sale and overall account management of the BD Biosciences reagent
        business, including Immunocytometry Systems, PharMingen and Transduction
        Laboratories, in clinical and research accounts.  Conducts routine sales
        calls on existing customer accounts, and uncovers new business
        opportunities, where they exist.  Responsible for the development of new
        customer base including lead development and sales.  Works effectively
        with Instrument Sales Specialist, Technical Field Applications
        Specialist, and Field Service Engineer to provide a team approach to
        ensure customer satisfaction.  Provides product demonstrations,
        workshops, seminar, and user's meetings as necessary.   Territory
        includes the state of Tennessee.  Anchor cities may be Nashville or
        Memphis.

        Qualifications

        Requires a BS degree in Life Sciences or related scientific discipline.
        Minimum of 2 - 4 years successful sales experience (clinical/research
        markets) or equivalent combination of related education and experience.
        Familiarity with Flow Cytometry, Clinical Immunology, Research
        Immunology, Cell Biology, and Hematology preferred.  Requires effective
        interpersonal skills, effective written and oral communication skills,
        as well as organization and planning skills.
