The CCS is still accepting abstracts for the Janis Giorgi Young Investigator award at the CAC meeting in Austin Texas. This is to honor Janis, who was very involved in teaching and mentoring the next wave of flow cytometrists. Anyone in training is eligible. Besides the honor of receiving this award, there is a very nice monetary award. Postdocs, graduate students and residents are urged to apply. If you have already submitted an abstract for the meeting and want to be considered for this award, you can contact Carol Eckenwhiler at - ceckenwiler@hotmail.com and ask to be considered, explain your training status. If you have a postdoc, graduate student, fellow or resident who wants to attend the meeting but worry they can't afford to- tell them to get their abstracts in and apply for the award.
