Cytomation, Inc. (www.cytomation.com) manufactures a high-performance
modular flow -- MoFlo -- cytometer specially designed for mammalian sperm
sorting. The MoFloSX, as it's called, is currently used at numerous
commercial and research sites around the world to separate X-chromosome
sperm cells from Y- for low-dose in vitro fertilization with gender-selected
sperm. However, please be advised that XY, Inc. (www.xyinc.com) holds an
exclusive worldwide license from the USDA to employ these methodologies with
non-human sperm cells, while Genetics and IVF (www.microsort.net) holds a
similar license for humans. Ergo, you may need to contact one or the other
to obtain a license to sort sperm cells utilizing flow cytometry. In any
event, let us know if you need more information or desire additional
performance specs. Good luck in your pursuits.
