FLOW CYTOMETRY CORE FACILITY MANAGER/OPERATOR

Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, WI

The Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking a self-reliant flow
cytometry specialist to establish and supervise a new core facility
consisting of two cytometers, a FACS Vantage SE and a FACS Calibur, both
equipped with dual lasers.  Duties will include operation and routine
maintenance of the instruments, scheduling, billing, training
investigators in operation of the FACS Calibur, keeping track of
instrument use, and ordering supplies.  We are looking for applicants
with experience in multiple techniques including cell sorting, analysis
of cells as well as bacteria, apoptosis assays, DNA analysis, etc.
Familiarity with commercial and custom software is essential.
Understanding of biological applications and ability to assist
researchers in designing experiments and evaluating results is
expected.  The position is available immediately.   Minimum requirements
are BA level training in biological and/or engineering sciences and
three years flow cytometry work experience. Comprehensive benefits are
