This is the little ten cents I do have for now.

Formalin in most case people refer to it as formaldehyde and is not True ,Formalin is
a preparation of formaldehyde in saline.
Formaldehyde  is  gas produced by Oxidation of methyl Alcohol
and soluble in water to 40% by Weight.
Paraformaldehyde is White deposit formed after the prolonged storage of
formaldehyde. Therefore I guess paraformaldehyde is formed when formaldehyde as a
solution is stored for longer duration.
