We also recently completed a study in which we observed what appeared
to be connstitutive binding of annexin to monocytes. The system used
annexin biotin followed by steptavidin APC in combination with various
monoclonal antiboides to distinguish cell populaitons. our objective was
to measure lymphocyte apoptosis, so we used gating strategies to
eliminate the monos and did not pursue the reason for this.
