Hi Tessa,

Some of my users here have used polyester mesh for this sort of thing
and I find that mesh is very useful for filtering samples prior to
running on the cytometers. There are two sources of this based in the UK
who can furnish mesh of varying pore sizes and it is also streilisable
by alcohol treatment or autoclaving. I buy several metres at a time
which keeps me going for ages!

70µ mesh which is what I mainly use comes in at about 15UKP per metre.
