Dear "Flower" I am enclosing details of the 5th Biennial Bench Top Clinical Flow Cytometry Workshop below: B K SHENTON Consultant Clinical Scientist and Lecturer in Transplantation Surgery ___________________________________________________ THE ROYAL MICROSCOPICAL SOCIETY BENCH TOP CLINICAL FLOW CYTOMETRY WORKSHOP University of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK 11 and 12 July 2000 ORGANISER: Dr Brian Shenton Over the past ten years there have been Bench Top Flow Cytometry Workshops organised in Newcastle to help both new and "experienced" users in aspects of practical flow cytometry. It is planned in the meeting in July 2000 to address clinical applications of flow cytometry. Presentations will cover the major new developments in flow cytometry in areas of Haematology, Immunology, Microbiology and Blood Transfusion. It is planned that, as in previous meetings, active participation by commercial sponsors will occur. Topics included will be: ! What's new in Flow Cytometry ! Applications in Immunology, Leukaemia Diagnosis, Haematology, Microbiology and Blood Transfusion ! Cell Function Studies ! Clinical Value of DNA Analysis ! Review of the Role of NEQAS ! Specific Problems in Flow Cytometry The main aim of the Workshop is for individuals to raise problems they have encountered. Further details are given in the enclosed Programme. If you are interested in attending this Workshop and would like further information please complete the enclosed Registration Form and send to: Mrs Julie Duggan, Workshop Secretary, Department of Surgery, The Medical School, University of Newcastle upon Tyne NE2 4HH.
