DNA staining in yeast live cells

To everybody,
I'm working with Kluyveromyces lactis, a yeast very similar to S.cerevisiae.
I'm studing the feasibility of screening, by FACS analysis, for multicopy
suppressors of a mutation that blocks the cells with a doubled DNA content.
To this end I need a protocol to stain DNA of live cells in such a fashion
that will let me sort and collect transformants that have N DNA content.
If somebody can give me any help, it will be very much appreciated and
acknowledged
Thanks in advance,
Daniela
