Hi Everyone, This question is urgent for a very sad reason: I have a FACSCalibur at a "remote" site, the use of which is getting way out of hand. The usual problems: unauthorized use, no cleaning, etc., etc. I am desperate to install a log-on software program that, above all, can permit me to deny use of the FACSCalibur and its workstation unless I - via my own "administrator" or master password - add the authorized user to a password file. Clearly, I cannot have users able to access the password file or make any changes to MacLogin preferences. The computer (a G3) is not networked, so everything would have to be installed on the workstation's hard drive. (Yes, access to the lab, who has keys, etc. these are issues I am addressing as well.) Can MacLogin do this for me? It's not clear to me from email archives or the MacLogin www site whether or not it can. Many thanks, Cliff McArthur University of California at San Francisco Departments of Medicine and Immunology/Microbiology ____________________________________________________________________ Get your own FREE, personal Netscape WebMail account today at http://webmail.netscape.com.
