Axiom Biotechnologies, Inc., located in San Diego, California, is
developing novel sample input systems and data management systems to
enable the use of flow cytometry in drug discovery and development. Our
proprietary technologies and successes have generated the need for an
individual who can serve as the operator of our flow cytometry facility
and who can also perform assay development. If you enjoy this type of
flexibility and if you enjoy pushing the boundaries of rapid
multiparametric analytical flow cytometry to find unique applications
for drug discovery, then you will enjoy this position. Our efforts are
directed towards the arenas of drug discovery, compound profiling and
lead optimization.

Currently we have a Coulter Elite ESP, and we may expand our instrument
repertoire in the coming year. Our flow cytometry facility is
responsible for novel assay development and analytical services.
Responsibilities of the position include 1) development of novel
applications that fully utilize our unique sample handling platforms and
exploit the multiparametric analytical capabilities of the cytometer, 2)
maintenance of current and future flow cytometer systems, and 3)
performance and management of service operations for corporate partners.
Sorting skills are not necessary, but would be a plus. It is also
important to have good interpersonal and communication skills so that
you can function effectively on project teams.

Candidates at the BA to Ph.D. level with several years or more of
experience are invited to apply. Candidates should possess proficiency
with a flow cytometer and the principles of the instruments. Experience
with mammalian cell culture and molecular biology techniques is also
preferred.
