I'm in the same boat with a FACStar+. The problem is that you have to upgrade the cytometer's hardware to interface with the Mac. From what I understand BD won't just sell you the upgraded interface and let you buy your own Mac. (That way they can also sell you a $2000 computer for $4000. Nice margin!) Any BD lurkers want to clarify this point?
