POSITION AVAILABLE: Northwestern University Medical School, Chicago

The Flow Cytometry Core Facility of the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive 
Cancer Center provides a full range of cytometry services for Northwestern 
University researchers. The facility is equipped with Beckman Coulter 
XL-MCL and Elite ESP instrumentation, and provides services ranging from 
routine analysis and consultation to sorting and multi-laser applications. 
We are currently seeking to hire a full time flow cytometry technologist.

  Responsibilities of the position involve assisting the Flow Cytometry 
Core Manager in overall lab operation; duties will include performing 
routine data collection and analysis, cell sorting, training investigators 
on the XL flow cytometer and administrative duties related to lab 
operation. This individual will also assist in promotion of the facility 
and have project work designed to help expand the facility's repertoire of 
cytometry applications.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor of Science degree with a minimum of 
two years experience working in a clinical or research laboratory setting. 
Proficiency with using a bench top flow cytometer, as well as knowledge of 
routine cytometric assays such as immunophenotyping and cell cycle analysis 
is preferred.
