Hi there,
Does anybody out there know some facts or can point me towards some
references about how to measure number of mitochondria per cell. What is
the best source to learn about mitochondrial biology ?

Visia Dragowski

The best book is certainely David Nicholls, Bienergetic 2 that you can find
using the net.

For the number of mitochondria the work is critical but you may certainely
refer to stereomicroscopical determination which has been published in the
80'... See also mitochondrial vomume and number in medline report

Sincerely yours

PXP
