Hello to all, This is a little off topic, but given all the recent discussion about HL-60 cells I figured there must be few people out there growing these cells. A colleague of mine has been growing HL-60 cells and attempting to differentiate them into eosinophils, neutrophils and monocytes, and is having some trouble (they don't seem to express the receptors that characterize the differentiated cells). The literature is a little vague when it comes to details about split ratios, how often to split, optimal cell densities for growth etc. Even the ATCC citations are rather difficult to interpret. If anyone happens to have a more detailed protocol for the 'care and feeding' of HL-60 cells, or their differentiation I would be grateful if you would drop me line personally - no need to clutter up the list. Thanks, AL
