Greetings! Are there any people very comfortable with Quantibrite out there? I have limited experience with Quantibrite and have some questions regarding the appropriate use of the quantitation. If the fluorescence of a population is very tight (non-variable), I am reasonably confident that the data are meaningful. But what about "quantitating" a very wide peak , or worse, a dim shoulder on the negative peak? Does anyone publish this stuff? I run a core facility, and I have users that are anxious to use and publish these data...I just don't think that Quantibrite data adds useful information in alot of cases, but maybe I'm wrong. Why would one want to quantitate binding sites/cell of a highly variable population? Any helpful comments would be appreciated. TIna S.
