SENIOR RESEARCH TECHNOLOGIST

Opportunity to work in a Platelet Function Studies Laboratory conducting
a variety of bioassays and managing a large electronic database.

Principle Responsibilities:
- Operational Manager of the Research Laboratory
Quality Assurance
 Instrument Maintenance
 Data Management
 Training
 Ordering

- Conduct a variety of standard and emerging hemostasis bioassays.
Turbidometric and Impedence Aggregometry
Flow Cytometry for platelet and leukocyte markers (FACStar Plus,
FACSCaliber)
Plasma and Whole Blood Coagulation profiles (Hemochron, Coagucheck Plus)

Platelet Contractile Force (Hemodyne Hemostasis Analyzer)
Platelet Agglutination (Ultegra Rapid Platelet Function Analyzer)
Shear Elastic modulus (Haemoscope Computerized Thromboelastography)
Platelet Hemostasis Time under flow conditions (Xylum Clot Signature
Analyzer)

 -     Provide computer support for PC and MAC (hardware and software).

Preferred Qualifications:
- BS degree or equivalent, including college level physics or
engineering and biology.
- Excellent computer skills and a willingness to work with complex
instrumentation.
- Previous flow cytometry experience desirable; training for right
individual available.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience in a scientific laboratory desirable.
