Neutrophil priming

Dear flow users,
I have questions regarding neutrophil priming/activation in rat peripheral
blood.
1. How reliable is the up regulation of mac-1 (CD11b/CD18) as an activation
marker of priming in flow cytometry?
2. Is flowcytometric analysis of the oxidative burst a reproducible
measurement of neutrophil priming? Can anyone reccomend a kit.
3. What is the best agent to stimulate neutophils in vitro (PMA, fMLP)?
Thankyou
