See also the microbiology section on the Purdue CD rom
          http://www.cyto.purdue.edu/flowcyt/research/micrflow/gerhard
          /gerhard.htm

which contains a section on counting.

Aeruginosa wildtypes are masters in dye exclusion, so be
prepared that a number of them needs a lot of dye. Together
with their low light scatter signal as mentioned by Howard
that can be a potential problem.

Expect discrepancies between membrane integrity and
          culturability with pH stress.

          Good luck
          Gerhard

     Hello Flowers,
I have a graduate student who is interested in counting and
determining the viability of bacteria (pesudomonas. sp, cultured in
     different pH concentrations) using Flow.

Can anyone suggest how we could do this?.

Thanks for your time and help.
