Stabilizing reagents

We are occasionally faced with the not unusual late blood or bone marrow,
often on Friday. Is anyone familiar with any stabilizing reagent that might
better preserve a sample than the ACD blood tubes that we are currently
using? We would want to preserve the entire whole blood/marrow sample
without any enrichment or cell separation. We always have the ficoll then
freeze procedure but we would rather be able to perform the analysis on the
whole sample with as little manipulation as possible. Any suggestions or
experiences will be most appreciated.
