B-gal and PI

One of my researchers was inquirying about doing cell cycle analysis 
using PI simultaneously with a B-gal -FDG reporter system. (He 
wants to avoid using a UV laser if possible) Is there a way to 
do this without the reporter molecule leaking out? I read something 
in the archives about a lipophilic variant of FDG which does not leak 
out as much. Has anyone ever tried this with a PI protocol or is this 
totally not feasible? Thanks for any help! Joanne
