>Dear all, > >Did anyone perform or does anyone know of a study that compared the cell >cycle kinetics (Tc, Ts etc) of human and murine normal cells (not tumoral >cells)? >I would like to find out if it is known whether the cell cycle time of >human cells is much different from that of mice (for similar cell types). > Dominique, I haven't actually measured the time spent by murine vs. human cells in various phases of the cell cycle, but I can tell you that mouse T cell proliferation peaks at 3-4 days post-stimulation in vitro, while human T cell responses peak at around 5-6 days. This ~2 day lag is not due to a difference in progression from G0 to G1/S, so presumably it is due to longer time spent in S/G2/M. Hope this helps. AW Andrew D.
